Meet the Doctor

Dr. Renee Moran

Dr. Moran, one of only a few female, board-certified orthodontists in Denver, was born and raised in Danville, Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Notre Dame for her undergraduate study and then, after a year of service with Americorps, came out to Denver for dental school at the University of Colorado. At CU, she was awarded a full scholarship through the Air Force and graduated in the top of her class. She went on to attend a 1-year general dentistry residency at the Air Force Academy and worked as a general dentist for 3 years at Tyndall Air Force Base in Panama City, FL.

The beach was nice but she and her family missed the mountains. She decided to come back to CU to attend its orthodontic residency program where she received her certificate in orthodontics and Master of Science degree. Upon graduating, her faculty presented her with the “Resident of the Year” award acknowledging her as the top resident in her class.

Dr. Moran practices orthodontics with the same bite correction philosophy that Dr. Girardot followed. She feels grateful to have had such a great partner and mentor. It is her desire and goal to help better educate the public on the importance and benefits of having a healthy and functional bite for life-long stability of the chewing system as well as a spectacular smile.

Dr. Moran was a clinical professor at the University of Colorado’s Orthodontic Program where she taught her bite correction philosophy to the resident students. She is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontists and is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics, the American Dental Association, and all of their local chapters.

In her free time, Dr. Moran enjoys staying active and spending as much time as possible outdoors with her husband, Colin, and their three boys: Andrew, Dean, and Keith.
